All I have read in the past 5 months is "Australia does not matter, growth is in the US" Has that sentiment now changed?

If this is Australia only then they have cooked their goose. The business model only flies when they borrow the revenue. The low hanging fruit in the capital metro areas has all gone or been spoiled. Any selling from here on in would be for professionals - not some kid in a darkroom following a canned script.

I really think people should accept that they never proved the business model. Anyone who was passionate about the business or had any ability has left. If they want to pick it up and run with BIG UN then they might as well stop in the content creation business, buy some shovels and go mining. Maybe in Africa!!

At least when a horse breaks a leg it is put down and eventually all concerned move on.
