in the early days BAL used to be viewed as competition for A2m as a investment/trading stock. In no way has it ever been a competitor for a2 as a product. It may have been viewed as such by the uninitiated but by now most people know the big difference.
if the deal goes thru, it won’t be a competition stock, not that it really has been for a few years, and what happens to it in China won’t be having any impact on us.
whether those who provide Bellamy’s milk source will wish to supply a Chinese company will be their decision...this cannot be guaranteed.
this could be the catalyst they need to swap to a2 herds ...who knows.
Chinese buying up product from NZ/Aussie companies is one thing
chinese buying NZ/Aussie companies is quite another thing.
we don’t want to be bought out as we won’t reach those lofty figures suggested here...and A2m will be gone for good.
so let’s please stop this thread of “what the price might be if we were bought out “
New Zealand dairy farming n it’s milk suppliers just aren’t going to let that happen.
the BAL takeover is a proposal.
