I once read that it is not the funds or the institutions or the bots that drive markets down or up....it is the small mum and dad investors with their 2-5000 dollar investments as there is a heck of a lot more of them out there. They see the bad news every day on the TV and get spooked so regardless of what the current SP is they sell.
No one knows anything regarding the results to the latest round of drilling it is purely human emotion driving the market at the moment.
Buffett also says to be greedy when others are fearful and vice verca.
