Well, this is certainly the question we are all asking.

My view was that the reorganisation implemented early last year clear signaled the expectation of a major transaction in the 2008 year. While "the pieces of the puzzle" successful came together; we did not see the major transaction that was hoped for. (We did see the Dynamic Microbial's and the "left field" Cambridge cancer collaboration).

I think the appointment of a CEO recognises that the sought after "major transaction" will require more time, more money and more management input.

My personal perspective is that the conditions prerequisite for a major transaction are present. We have the science, we have the technical developments, we have the people.

Unfortunately, beyond these prerequisites, I have no idea when or if we will see the commercial results we are all seeking. I think it is highly probable - but have no information leading me to any certainty on the question.

Such is the nature of biotech investment.
