Once ECM conduct due diligence it's fairly hard to see how they could justify putting $2-$4 million into ERJ. A stack of it goes straight into the back pocket of Stonehouse via monies owed to Ames for the usual "consulting" work and one would have to be a complete wood-duck to pump in that sort of cash and watch it go straight into the bank account of someone inside the company.
Stranger things have happened, but this looks unlikely unless the people concerned can come to an agreement and ensure the money doesn't evaporate overnight.
