I read somewhere the reason that mobile phones and cars were catching fire was because of the graphite. Apparently, you can't heat graphite up too fast, and is a major reason why cars take so long to recharge. (Not sure if this was fake news or not. It's hard to know who to believe sometime). Major developments in the world of batteries to eliminate this, and make it faster and safer to charge.
The world of 5 minute charging and getting 500km to 1000km per charge is but a year or two away now.
