    I generally agree with what youve written, and yes I did encourage people to read the whole report themselves rather than the stuff that you or I have picked out.

    I dont think it will be a show stopper either, however i believe this issue will be their biggest obstacle to overcome and quite costly.

    The NT government is very wary that CXO will mine, take profits and dissapear or fail leaving the NT taxpayers to foot a massive bill for cleaning up the mess left behind, which is ceetainly a valid concern given fairly common past instances of this in both Australia and worldwide.

    A lot of people on here seem to think that the environmental assessment report is some sort of approval and that its now just a matter of the NT goverment rubber stamping the plan which was already submitted. This is certainly not the case.

    I am of the opinion that CXO is busy trying to come up with some solution that doesnt require the expensive pit backfill or in some way makes backfill a lot more ecomomically viable. I speculate that this may mean waiting until another deposit is proved up adequately so that synergies can be realised.
