My belief is that a drilling announcement won't be anytime
soon. Much more likely will be an announcement that they
have now received the seismic data and are beavering away
reinterpreting it.
This should keep the drill (wolf) from the door for a few
more months.
A good question is why have they just recently
found out about this seismic data.
If it is not on their lease then it won't be much good
to them. If it is on their lease then the 64 dollar
question is why didn't the owners of the data offer to
sell it to QPN shortly after they obtained the lease?
After all, having given up the lease the only value the
seismic data would have to the original lease owners is
the money they could sell it for.
Maybe it had to be handed back to the Indonesion
government on a lease changeover but surely, if
this was the case, it would be the first place
that QPN would look.
