but my feeling is that he may have thought the means would justify the end. Now that it has gone bad investors are thinking that he set out with the intention to defraud.

That is a very real possibility, as I said before, at best he has been dishonest in his ramp strategy to raise funds for the progression of the company's missions.

At worst he has done the above for personal gain.

What's that saying? Assume and you make an a** out of you and me.

Somebody in his position shouldn't have assumed he could pull it off if it was a lot further from the certainty he made it out to be. It leaves one open to accusations of illegal doings should it fail. Not something a smart man leaves himself open to!

I mean at best he has been incredibly careless leaving himself open to such a character slur. I don't know that I'd want somebody that stupid running my company!
