@Moorookamick, I have found a tafe course which is 6x2 hours for $150 here in Perth which kicks off in May, in the mean time I am going to read up on the For Dummies books and also a couple of other books which have been recomended.
@Andylgo, I am actually 39 and an IT professional, I've recently started a family so am a bit more focussed on providing for my daughter's future rather than pissing the money away on new cars etc. The nick is a play on "the Conscious Investor".
I am a gold enthusiast, but I think I am going to invest in physical silver, because I think it looks like it has more legs.
