Just because the company failed doesn't mean she didn't do a good job. The market went through a bloody tough time, that wasn't her fault. The storm may have been too big for anyone to save.
I don't know, I don't have all the info, but when a company fails sometimes it is due to adverse market situations not poor management, so you can't say she should be ashamed of the job she did. Maybe the company survived for 7months longer because of her.
