I'm not sure what motivated them to do this at such low prices. Either they saw a bargain and had to take it instantly or desperate to expand?

They should be focus more on drilling and proving reserves on what they already have instead of getting more land. As it doesn't increase shareholders' value.

Best scenario is fantastic result at Sharchuluut Uul gold/copper project which prompted them to expand before releasing initial results

or

Thermal coal asset sales progressing well with valuation of 50-100m. More money means shopping time for the group.
