May have something to do with this Interlink purchase. A brave move when telco's around the world are going down like nobody wants to talk on the phone any more.
Interlink supposed to t/o $5m with 8-9% EBIT, ie $400-450k. QTL is issuing 11.25m shares @$0.04 to fund the purchase. Assuming that is the price ($450k), it seems to be a good deal without synergy gains.
The question is what is the future with Interlink, can they survive? Remember AGL and Dingo Blue, Onetel?
Probably with Worldcom blowing up, it is not going to help any telco, dot com's and the like, including QTL in the short term.
If you believe in the company, it is a good time to buy at 3c a piece, probably will go down more tomorrow.
QTL seems to be doing quite a few reasonable deals of late and voice and data cannot be separated any more these days. I am willing to back them.
