I would hardly think that bkp and pfc would rank as "major acquisitions" by statoil they basically have bkp and pfc by the short and curlys anyway so why bother offering a take over bid when you don't have to. The only way bkp can stay in the game is to take a smaller interest percentage free carried and then leave it to statoil to find the oil and gas. Until gas and oil is found by either statoil or on another tenement in the same area I can't see any company wanting to get involved.
