ciggys the dealers are only going to tell you its worth less that it really is and try make a profit out of you.
Can you find out if there's any auctioneers out there that have sold this type of stuff, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
maybe list on ebay and field all the questions, take all the photos the bidders require (this way you'll find out what knife collectors are looking for), put a really high reserve on so its a dummy auction and see what bids you get..?
