Doesn't matter who makes the will as long as it is what the couple wanted. Don't forget it must be signed by two witness (not beneficiaries) which (in the old days at least) had to be present when the will was signed and then also sign it in the presence of each other.
To challenge a will would require that the persons were not of sound mind or had somehow been duped into signing something that was not their intent. Prety b... hard.
