After thinking about it you really are better served to go to your local pump retailer (not the local pop up sprinkler mob).

Your issue is really the water you have not being compatible with the SS the pump is made from.
Whilst this may seem obvious when you have a split pump on your table, the reality is that changing bolts may not resolve it anyway. Some pump companies have different casing for this reason.
There are plenty of decent independent irrigation places about who will know your water and the issues that can arise (independents will give you options that others wont; there has been a real shift in the irrigation market with global players swallowing up locals)
Some areas have water that is far more damaging to materials than others even though the water is drinkable.
Take some time out and talk to them as you will get a real result. But stick with decent brand products... as you no doubt found out it is a real pain to pull them up and put them down.
