An excellent post on the likely value of MWE SP post consolidation.

IMO and understandably, we have both been very conservative in our assessments when the following statements (not yet quantified by MWE) have been published:

World class reserves potential (Presentation 1-3 Sep 10 by MD)

At Dikulishi - Particularly tantalising is a 60m-deep crown pillar, bearing grades that would make both geologists and metallurgists salivate. While this huge chunk of chalcocite would provide a feed of at least 7% copper, it is known to contain areas that grade up to 75% copper. (Paydirt Oct 10)

Shaba - grades of up to 40% (Paydirt Oct 10)

The MC of MWE during the GFC is really irrelevant as it did not reflect the true market value as some shareholders were forced to sell due to margin calls, shorting opportunities and the need for cash to prop up other assets. Of particular interest is the statement by the MD that "we only lost about 100 shareholders out of 1,100 through the delisting.Accordingly, I would expect some 1000 'old' shareholders to be shortly congratulating themselves on their decision to take a LT position on MWE 'coming good'
