Usually it is the person/company who is Buying, that performs the due diligence (DD), not the seller, or in this case the prospective licensee.
Hopefully if the BOD are seriously looking for a new technology, and they do decide on something, I hope they have performed a very thorough DD process this time around.
We can only wait and see the result.
