From what I have read from more experienced posters the salt capping formation was thicker than expected and hence has made a very good seal.
Hence gas would be trapped and any gas found above the salt trap would of migrated up the anticline fault or faults.
Because of the deep nature of Leadville it is quite possible not hydrocarbons may not be found only gas and the temperature and pressur emay be very high.
Anyway thats what I interpreted from other posters.
The gas shows so far imo are very promising. I hope they are even better in Leadville.
