    Why does a share price ever go down - the sellers weren't confident the buyers would come up, so they went down to meet them.

    As for why they did that, any answer I could provide would be beyond cynical, since I disagree with the market valuation, my answer wouldn't be much more than, "people are selling it because they are bad at valuing companies".

    Somebody who agrees with the market valuation might be able to give you their rationale and shed some light on it, but I am not one of them.
