re: why get upset? I can't understand why a top-flight poster wants to join others on some very "routine" threads as mentioned.

Yes, I sometimes can be somewhat impersonal and certainly don't worry too much about what some, including you, think of me.

I certainly won't be part of a gang who zero in on an unfortunate poster; I have seen a couple of examples on HC.

I don't have a herd instinct. But I do know whom I can trust or not.
