just wondering, since the new ugly packages have hit the shops.... has anyone given up smoking, because they are turned off by the packaging ? or do you know of anyone who went to buy a pack of smokes, then changed their mind when they saw the ugly packs ?

I have never seen ciggys from the black market so I have no idea of how they are packaged

being cynical, I am wondering if they had similar packaging for fast foods or grog which are similar products that are detrimental to ones health what the result would be...?
the drug trade do not package their brands.... but they suck in and destroy many lives

or is it the underlying product....that you seek ?
I guess the Marlbroro Man, or the Camel ad, together with all the actors smoking cigarettes sucked many in, in the old days....
I have not watched many movies in the past 20 or so years, so I have no idea what they are advertising in the movies these days... they are shown as subtle nuances...a rolex watch... channel no 5, a porche , louis vuitton handbag, a lamborghini... or those on the other opposite end of the scale ?
