Hate to break it to you but Wychoffs "composite man" is a rehash of Adam Smiths "invisible hand" and the subsequent developments in the field of economics that come from that.
He wrote that in 1789 when describing how prices move in a marketplace in a self regulating manner through the actions of buyers and sellers.
Nothing new here.
