Will it go down? Certainly will. Will it survive? That depends on whether SPP can find another equity partner. SPP have been looking for a second rescuer for some months. Santa Fe & SPP seem to have a relationship problem, maybe they can't agree on how best to get the project onto a sound financial footing.
Considering the size of SPP's potential, the importance of oil to the likes of USA, the price of oil, and the lack of major oil discoveries in 'friendly countries', I'd be surprsed if SPP went totally belly up. But, the share price will certainly go down.
I have no position, but keen follower of its progress.
