I do not believe that the SI government is in any major rush to fast track the PL for the Takata Land. They want to ensure that the new process cannot be appealed.
The SI will be up for elections in mid 2017. It will be a major election platform if Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has mining up and running by this time.
Even if mining started earlier, the Government will not be getting royalties or advantage.
In my viewpoint, we will be mining the Takata Land by this time next year, but the start up needs to be watertight and appeal proof.
