re: tls Sensibly TLS will seek to jettison all old world technology they can get away with. I believe this is one of the reasons that they wish to exclude competitors access to their new broadband network. I certainly hope so. USO is a joke, especially given the increasingly lower proportion of Australians in rural/remote areas.
