I am very grateful for your informative response. I had not thought of it before but you are right, the loss only comes when I hit the SELL button. Still, as the other gentleman said, I was a little apprehensive.

I do not understand what you mean by a hedge crisis? Isthat what is (or is part of) the cause for the drop?
