Hi I haven't been to Frankfurt but while travelling through Europe I used wotiff and lastminute and quickbeds to get some good bargains in accomodation. The only thing is you can only book a couple of weeks in advance which doesn't suit all people.
You can get some great quality accommodation for a lot less than normal rack rate.
Search Google for accommodation Frankfurt also to see what and where establishments are.
