Signalling a lower start to the market, March stock index futures (YAPc1) rose six ticks to 3,255.0, a discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 (Australia:^AXJO - News) which shed 0.5 percent to 3,264.5 on Thursday.
In London, diversified miner BHP Billiton (London:BLT.L - News) fell 3.1 percent on worries that the strength of the Australian dollar could hurt its profit, while Rio Tinto (London:RIO.L - News) sagged 2.1 percent as the British benchmark FTSE 100 index (London:^FTSE - News) lost 1.3 percent.
Smacko I have major support levels around 9.78 and 9.91 . This is likely to change when the trend becomes evident for the year .
