I have done this in a MASSIVE way once before. The last time MUL spiked on huge volume, I had a really big holding, decided to sell, actually ended up buying the same amount again, relaxed cos I thought I'd made a quick $10000 in one day trade.....found out later I was down $40000 and rising. Panicked, and the rest of the story you can guess.
