When the SP drops 30% in one day hinging on one piece of news to be released on Friday, I wonder why the stock is not in a trading halt pending the announcement?
I have seen trading halts placed for much less important news and any responsible management would halt trading to protect shareholders from the drastic movements unless they know the news are bad already and say might as well let the punters lose their pants, wandering around with bare bottoms a couple of days earlier won't make much of a difference.
