Yes, no argument here, WBC (previously Bank NSW) originated back to 1817 and not much improvement since then. Not even a 1970's bank, a regular and chronic nonperformer, will disappoint each and every time, despite all these recent appointments to modernise the bank. During recessionary periods, the local banks are not up to it, with CBA's domestic mortgages portfolio a drag, as is WBC. ANZ and NAB are more diversified with a business component. WBC is approaching a trading stock status, not investment grade.
