Yes there might be lawyers and executives involved here, and yes it may be the next big trend. However if you understand the exponential nature of technology and its implications over the next 10 years while this maybe 'the next big trend', it is also currently a genuine industry in its infancy, that will offer extraordinary corporate opportunity. The fact is these guys are moving early and approaching it with the highly leveragable structure and business model, in a highly proffessional manner that will evolve and grow as this industry evolves.
these guys are not corporate BMW X5 driving numbnuts. They understand gaming. They understand the changing corporate landscape and have a vision for where this is going.
there is nothing surer, that this is an industry on the cusp of explosion. In 5 yrs the concept of gaming will be vastly different to what it is now.
who knows what games will be popular or not, these guys are about providing the infrastructure for the industry - derisking the exposure massively.
A soccer player plays soccer, a gamer plays their game. Nothing changes. What changes, is the massive industry that builds around it.
