EGL WINS MAJOR PRESSURE SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRACT
The Environmental Group Limited (EGL) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Coriolis Water Services (Australia) Pty Ltd1 has secured a $1.2m order to supply its market leading EOne pressure sewer systems to the township of Wallaga Lake in southern NSW.
The order for in excess of 300 pressure sewer systems was placed by Tenix Alliance Pty Ltd on behalf of the Bega Valley Sewerage Program (BVSP) which is being constructed in alliance with the Bega Valley Shire Council.
The BVSP is a major infrastructure initiative that involves providing residents with new sewerage schemes in Wallaga Lake, Cobargo, Wolumla, Candelo and Kalaru and the upgrading of five sewage treatment plants.
The Program Manager of BVSP, Mr Warwick Stone, said that by facilitating the replacement of septic tank disposal systems at Wallaga Lake the pressure sewer systems would play a key role in further enhancing the region’s outstanding environmental credentials which feature natural bushland, important wetlands and coastal dunes.
Mr Stone said he expected the installation of the pressure sewer systems at Wallaga Lake to begin in February next year.
