If you are selling some or all of the recently issued shares as an investor it is easy to identify the parcel you are selling and the cost base for CGT purposes. In the case of the CR the cost base is $22.45. I have also recently sold some parcels of Ann shares at a loss which is handy for tax purposes. I would probably not sell the new shares until at least 12 months from now as I would hope to book a profit with the 50% CGT discount.
