Three shareholders showed up, including me. A bigger turnout than last year, I'm told.

Three directors attended in person, including MC & SB. The rest were online & didn't say a word. Seriously, not a single word. MC did most of the talking.

The one thing I pushed for at the meeting was for more on- market buying by Directors. "Share our pain" I said. "Small shareholders want to see more skin in the game.". Their response was polite but unenthusiastic. SB said he'd been active. In fairness, Trent Franklin has been active too - he watched the proceedings silently from afar.

I opened by saying the sp has fallen from 19c to less than 2c in MC's tenure.

MC says we have 526,000 ounces.

Mark Cossom was charismatic, disarming & unfailingly polite. I get the feeling he's happy at Perth HQ & I'm sure he has time to field calls so feel free to call and ask questions. I'm told he's earning $290k? - not too shabby, a junior surgeon's salary sans the responsibility or gruelling hours.

I will submit some written questions to MC & maybe post back another time.

I asked about Strickland. MC deftly deflected the issue of the sale: "Oh the benefit of hindsight."

Scott Brown, one of the true believers, is very enthusiastic about our future. He actually gets up there every couple of months. Says he doesn't mind the heat & flies.

Our biggest shareholder, Kerry Harmanis was absent. He's taking his full entitlement in the CR. Last time he didn't participate at all.

Our two Geos are onsite, I'm told Sammy Bakie is a shareholder. I'm not sure who supervises their work. I'd like to think they are hard at it, rather than spending time with the skimpies in Meeka.

Well, they were nice people. But nice people don't make a profitable company. On my part, I think directors need to be paid with shares. That'd help reduce costs.

As an aside Charlie Munger died today. He'd never invest in GML.
