I wonder why the STK shares were never sold on market.

Yes hindsight is a wonderful things, as are ethics and integrity.
Even the appearance of a conflict of interest should have seen these shares sold on market.

Thanks for the update on Charlie Munger and you are right, he would never buy GML. What a life he led.

What were some of the key attributes of Berkshire businesses?
high return on equity, low price to book, high free cash flow and perhaps a large moat or operating position. Think IAG and Coca Cola.

Perhaps the wheel has turned for GML. We can only hope.
