I think you are using a narrower definition of preemptive than I had in mind when I posted this morning.
I would not be at all surprised to learn the MC has some sort of option over that highly prospective exploration permit immediately south of the Ungani oil field. Though if this is the case, I would like to know this now rather than after the deal has been consummated.
