"Hi Muzz, will your system last 20 years? If not you will need further capital outlay, and at reduced return from us suckers. Or am I wrong?"
Also, what happens to roof maintenance? How do you fix a leak? Rip the whole system off? No thanks.
A decent size property with panels at ground level and a system like kurrajong's for generation outside of day light or for cloudy days, and I would be interested. Inner city is being encouraged for high density which means, building upwards, multilevel dwellings. What happens when a neighbours property or tree blocks the rays? Is there council policies in place or do they come after the court cases? Excuse my cynicism but I don't think anyone has thought it out long term.
Some people have impressive systems, 18 panels plus. The token 1.5kw system seems like the scam of the century to me.
