I just did a web search for Hepatitis C companies and found an interesting one: Chiron (CHIR), a US company with a US$10 billion market cap, with over $1.2 billion in revenue last year.

In the product pipeline on their website, they say they are working on various blood tests (to ensure donor blood is ok). One of them is HAV, which is in development phase and expects revenue from 2005. (Maybe Select can help get them there sooner?)

They are also collaberating with, it appears, 3 companies to develop HCV vaccine.

This looks like a competitor to Select, yet they don't seem to have any diagnostics for HAV, HCV....
