When they say they have "concerns about not being able to provide quality trading experience" they really mean that they want to save costs (by closing the aot platform and eliminating the aot team) and increase revenue by charging us more. The commission on my normal order size goes up about 7 fold. We will be able to trade through their standard viewpoint platform but that will produce a confirmation for every order placed rather than aggregating orders to one end of day confirmation. They really want to get rid of us, I think, unless we want to pay much higher commissions for a less satisfactory product.
I have found that Amscot and Sequoia can do order aggregation on certain types of accounts (Amscot call it "bulking") and they are cheaper than the standard Commsec platform. They don't offer viewpoint though. Amscot has the old Iress trader (requiring java) and Sequoia use Bourse Data software (which comes from a company in their group).
I would like to know if anyone has found any other brokers that offer order aggregation.
