I liked the old IRESS but not the regular java updates.
I think NAB Trade also uses IRESS so may be worth having a look.
Otherwise I might look to move to Self Wealth. They charge a flat $9.95 fee for any amount so even better than AOT which I think was a flat $33 for up to $200k and then a percentage.
Only thing with Self Wealth is you can't combine all the trades you do on a stock and then get charged one fee at the end of the day. But at $9.95 per trade you would have to do four or more trades on a single stock to be worse off than AOT.
Also Self Wealth don't really have dynamic pricing.
Other option that I posted on the SWF Hotcopper site is to try Marketech. Pricing below where the Focus option gives you live data but you would have to get used to the platform as I don't think it is IRESS.
FocusLite: No monthly fee. Trades from $500 - $25,000 = $10 per trade. Trades over $25,001 = 0.04% (4 basis points)
Focus: $45 monthly access fee. Trades from $500 - $25,000 = $5 per trade Trades over $25,001 = 0.02% (2 basis points)
