With the huge increase in commissions at commsec without the aot desk (about 7 times as much on my average order), I'm thinking about doing as follows for now. I'll stay with commsec for now for my long term investment portfolio and do very few changes in holdings (maybe none). Eventually I'll move somewhere else but no hurry. For my trading portfolio - which I'll limit to maybe 10% of assets for now - I'll soon move to somewhere cheaper. I'll look further into Marketech (thanks numis and teckor) because of their 0.02% rate and see if they meet my needs. I went though the Trader Dealer demise. Although I didn't lose any money, it was a hell of a nuisance and worry at the time as I had a lot of trouble getting back some of my stock with ACH security over it. That's a reason not to rush into moving everything to a smaller broker.
