Yep, CDM are quality, I have a reasonable holding of these, at much lower prices, around 1.30, so buying at a premium is not good. They are net long, but mostly on stocks exposed to offshore earnings and international stocks, so when the AU dollar falls, as it has been, they win. Their latest NTA was very solid given the correction.
I believe the issues with CTN are reflected in their SP, but the latest portfolio is impressive and the last few NTAs have been really solid, with a 20pc discount, it is hard to see more falls in SP, with a strong run into the dividend likely.
ALF is probably my pick also, I think the premium right now , given the falls in ASX and their short position, will be close to 2-4 pc. Their fee structure is competitive also for this strategy and performance. Shame about PGF, as I need yield for my fund Habitat Restoration Fund I am setting up, so sustainable yield over 5pc is my goal.
If FGX oppies fall a bit, I'll buy some more. Bound to rise with that team. And finally, WAA is tempting, but too small.
