I have no interest in UK property but something you said rang alarm bells. "Not expecting capital gain" Put your money in the bank if you are not looking for CG. Everybody sells at some stage and what is the point of investing if you spend 20 years building up a portfolio if you sell at a small gain. CAPITAL GAIN IS EVERYTHING. You do not have to go to UK to find better deals than that. Do your homework on Qld and WA and you can get property that will give you better income and big gains rather than chasing cheap.
