It's good country, near to existing oil and gas fields, and Origin and Santos bid a lot to get it ... and then, also reverting to form, let it go.

I believe that any investors in the various companies with a slice in it will be quite happy with their investments in the next 6 months.

The target sizes are realistic, given the acreages enclosed, and I believe that at least some of them - possibly most of them - will contain payable oil and/or gas.

Remember, most of the misses in the Cooper have occoured in the Beach territory on the southern and western fringes of the basin. This is very different country.

Do your numbers carefully when figuring your best entry into this country ; Roma, VicPet, Entek, ITC and another float to be named Real Soon Now are all in there, and investors should be able to calculate their net interests pretty easily (remember to count prefloat shares).
