I think the TH may have been the MEOmite spys getting too close:
'the trading halt is necessary as otherwise trading in MEO shares may take place in an uninformed market;'
perhaps indicates that certain info (like sheepdog's DMP docs) was becoming available in public forums and MEO couldn't take the risk of de-facto announcements coming from other sources.
