Give eTrade a call, they will be more than happy to help you out. I too find IG's CFD's platform too hard to use when it comes to trading equities. I have been using Power etrade to trade CFDs for over two years now, been happy with it. Some shares you can't short using Power Etrade. I think IG has more options.
