I'm not aware of what CVN was up to in 1994 but I think you may have been describing the 2007-2009 spike there afawcett
- can remember getting up in the middle of the night to read Pan Orient announcements when you thought they might be due
- I think that (I thought it was 4000 bopd from Na Sanun East) was an onshore Thailand record and sent CVN skywards but yeah the volcanics watered out quickly and we were drilling non-stop just to keep overall production stationery (luckily wells were cheap/quick payback and we were hitting the joint like a sewing machine)
- best thing to come out of that period besides the $100mil sale years later (what a deal) was our excellent leader Ted Jacobson who was the one with the vision to acquire the acreage off the NW coast of Australia when nobody else was interested - that acreage now contains one of Oz' biggest oil finds
